Artful Greetings is the vision of the owner and CEO, Lonita Whitted. Lonita is not a newcomer to the business world. She founded and has operated a successful business since 1972. in the late 80’s, a connoisseur and collector of Black art, Lonita realized
that there was a void in the marketplace.
High quality all-occasion and holiday cards, featuring original artwork targeted to and created by African-Americans were rare. Ironically, it was during that period that Lonita received a unique and beautiful African American card from her daughter, Marian. With the receipt of that card, the seed of an idea was planted. After many hours of planning and fact-finding, Lonita and David founded Artful Greetings.
